Visual branding and brand voice creation for a local architectural firm.

KMVAsia Development Corporation is a young, dynamic, all-in-one development company that specializes in master planning, green architecture, interior design, engineering, consultancy, fit-out construction, and real estate development. Founded in 2013 by Architect Kaydee Marie Velasco, UAP, CBP, the company sought a massive rebrand in 2019.

 

The KMV Tahanan Glyph is strong and elegant.

KMVAsia’s new logo is a house: one roof supported by six pillars, implying the 6 of the VI Group of Companies, to which KMV belongs. The right upward arrow signifies progress and development. The three skewed rectangles are wooden planks or clean pieces of paper, a nod to the discipline of architecture. The interlocking Vs at the bottom reflect the KMV team’s “kapit-bisig” camaraderie.

 

KMVAsia’s brand colors are minimal but expressive.

From pitch black to a very bright off-white, the brand colors are of cement and steel, skyscraper sunlight and shadow. The grays are alternately warm and cool, but overall, the monotone look says both “finished” and “under construction.”

Simple and friendly typography to soften the sharp edges.

Because KMVAsia does many things from development to sales, they naturally need to produce a lot of materials in-house. So we use Proza Libre and popular Montserrat, both free fonts from the Google Suite, easily accessible for things like slideshows and documents.

While the use of Montserrat is limited to small all-caps labels, Proza is meant to be used for everything else. It’s deceptively simple, both friendly and elegant, and versatile, great for headers and paragraphs.

 

We also helped KMVAsia craft a values statement that would affect their day-to-day, internal and external branding.

Corporate AVP 2021

We produced KMVAsia’s corporate video from end to end — scriptwriting, creative direction, and post-production. This video was shot in multiple locations from the busy streets of the Makati Central Business District to the airy, mountainside town of Liliw, Laguna.
